Women’s Health and Gender Equity

As a woman, I am deeply passionate about the need to prioritize women’s health, especially in light of recent events that have highlighted how much work remains to be done in ensuring equal access to care. The outcomes of the recent election have underscored how vulnerable some of the progress we've made is, particularly regarding women’s reproductive rights and healthcare access.
It’s a reminder that we must continue advocating for policies that protect and expand healthcare access for all women. I am especially aware of how women of color, low-income women, and other marginalized groups are disproportionately affected by underinvestment in women’s health.
These communities often face additional barriers to accessing quality care, from economic constraints to systemic biases, which contribute to health disparities. This fuels my passion for advocating for a more inclusive, accessible, and equitable healthcare system, where every woman, regardless of her background, has the support and resources they need to thrive.
